Payment Options

Auto Pay

Auto Pay makes it easy to pay your electric bill automatically each month. Payments are drafted from your bank account or card on your due date, helping you avoid missed payments and late fees.

You’ll still receive a monthly bill so you can review your charges before each payment is processed.

To enroll, log in to your Gibson Co-ops account and select Bill & Pay, then choose Auto Pay Program and complete the authorization. You can also submit an Auto Pay Authorization Form to your local member service center or mail it to 1207 S. College St., Trenton, TN 38382.

Please continue paying your bill as usual until you receive a statement marked “Paid by Auto Pay. Do Not Pay.”

Auto Pay is not available for prepaid billing accounts. For questions, contact your local member service center.

Pay By Phone

Pay by Phone lets customers make a payment anytime using our automated phone system. You can pay by electronic check or with your card in just a few steps.

For your security, our member service representatives can only process payments for customers who already have a payment method stored on their account. Representatives are not able to accept payment information over the phone if it has not been previously saved.

PaySite Kiosks

PaySite Kiosks give customers a convenient way to make a payment in person at select locations. A $1.50 processing fee applies to all payments made at PaySite kiosks.

Pay by Cash (Incomm Retailers)

Pay by Cash allows customers to make a payment in person at participating retail locations using cash. A $1.50 processing fee applies to all payments made at Incomm retailers.

Participating locations include Dollar General, Family Dollar, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy and 7‑Eleven.

To pay by cash, log in to your Gibson Co-ops SmartHub account and select Bill & Pay, then choose Pay by Cash to locate participating retailers and access your account barcode. The barcode must be presented at the time of payment.

Gift Certificates

Gift certificates offer a simple way to help someone manage their electric bill or cover the cost of services. They can be purchased for any amount and applied toward eligible charges.

We offer gift certificates for both holiday and year-round giving, and they can be mailed directly to the recipient if preferred.

Gift certificates may be used for electric service and select programs, including outdoor lighting, heat pump and water heater loans, and Surge Alert. They are not redeemable for cash.

Billing Options

Paperless Billing

Paperless Billing gives customers a convenient way to view and manage their bills online while reducing paper use. When enrolled, you’ll receive an email notification each month when your bill is ready to view and have access to past statements through your SmartHub account.

To enroll, log in to your Gibson Co-ops SmartHub account, select Settings, then choose Paperless Billing and select the accounts you want to enroll.

Levelized Billing

Levelized Billing helps customers manage seasonal changes in their electric bill by averaging usage over time. Each month’s bill is based on your current usage and the previous 11 months, helping create more consistent payments throughout the year.

Your bill amount may still vary slightly from month to month, but changes are typically minimal.

To enroll, complete a Levelized Billing Authorization Form and return it to your local member service center or mail it to Gibson Electric, 1207 S. College St., Trenton, TN 38382.

Levelized Billing is not available for prepaid billing accounts. Monthly billed accounts must be paid in full at the time of enrollment. For questions, contact your local member service center.

Adjusted Due Date

An adjusted due date helps eligible electric customers adjust their due date to better align with the timing of Social Security or Disability benefits.

Customers may qualify if they are age 62 or older and receive Social Security or Disability benefits, or if they are permanently disabled and receive Disability benefits. Service must be in your name, and your account must be paid in full at the time of application and approval.

Bills are expected to be paid in full by the due date. Partial payments require prior approval. A 5% late fee will be added to any unpaid balance after the due date.
